Treasurer’s Report
Report on last month’s activities:
• Beth reported on the Midwest Peace & Justice Summit
• Marvin reported on Earth Day signature gathering where Marvin, Beth, and Kathleen collected
• Global Marijuana March – Skywolf asked Kathleen to speak about the Green Party and its support for the reform of marijuana laws, which she did on May 5. She promised to link to the Purdue chapter of the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (now she just has to figure out how to do that!).
Old business:
• Kathleen got the notice for June’s meeting into NUVO.
• Josh’s report on hydrogen fuel cells was tabled due to Josh’s absence.
• José Evans won his primary and is the Democratic party’s candidate for District 1 City-County Council. New business:
John talked about a report on 100 years anniversary of eugenics in Indiana
Discussion of event/activities to engage the 25+ people who signed onto the MCGP mailing list at Earth Day. Jeff shared “Growing Green: A Parks and People Strategy for Indianapolis”
As A Shade of Grey is moving we should find a different meeting place.

Assign meeting secretary in Marvin’s absence.
Public Access of Indianapolis is hosting a free screening of “In Debt We Trust” on June 28, 7 p.m. at Key Cinemas, 4044 S. Keystone Ave. For a $50 sponsorship fee, MCGP can co-sponsor and table at the event.
Discussion to set agenda for MCGP:
• Involvement in Growing Green – Jeff?
• C-C Council Committee on Election Reform – Kathleen
• Other topics
Other issues:
• José Evans is asking for our help in getting him elected to the Council and is eager to represent Green Party issues and invites our input. Should we extend an invitation to our next meeting?
• Dave Pilbrow (sp?) has projection equipment and films should we want to sponsor movie screenings.
