The Green Party is the only viable progressive alternative in American politics. The Democrats have failed the democracy. The Republicans have failed the Republic. The Greens take a different approach to providing sound and sane leadership for the United States.

Greens take no money from corporate interests. We depend on small contributions from supporters and membership dues. We have seen the damage done to society when political parties take money from large corporations. The practice is at the root of many of the ills of America today. Greens believe in a level playing field, rather than a game of who can raise the most cash.

Greens work from the “Bottom up.” That is, we believe political power should emanate from the people, not a bunch of bureaucrats. Therefore, our structure basically is: Local Parties feed into State Parties. State Parties dictate the National Party agenda. We of course cooperate with all Greens, but Greens strongly believe in Grassroots Democracy and the Power of the People.
